**Job Title:** Laboratory Associate

About the Role:

  • Develop and execute laboratory sessions to ensure students acquire reliable and precise data that meets learning objectives.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot technical devices to support laboratory operations.
  • Manage consumables based on student numbers, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate laboratory class sessions, promoting a smooth delivery of lessons.
  • Provide assistance and support during practical sessions, fostering student growth and development.
  • Support the administration and enforcement of health and safety protocols in the laboratory environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory areas and equipment.

Research & Knowledge Exchange:

  • Utilize e-learning platforms to enhance knowledge exchange and collaboration.
  • Handle laboratory-related inquiries, feedback, and correspondence with students, companies, and partners.

Teamwork:

  • Participate actively in departmental and program meetings, fostering collaborative efforts.
  • Contribute to institution-wide working groups or committees, driving project success.
  • Engage in collaborative projects within the School and PSB Academy, enhancing shared goals and objectives.

Miscellaneous Duties:

  • Pursue ongoing continuing professional development, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in a related discipline.
  • Entry-level candidates will be considered. Prior teaching or instructional experience is advantageous.
  • Dedicated and goal-oriented individuals with strong time-management skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work flexible hours (weekdays, Saturdays, occasional Sundays) are essential.

Key Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a research laboratory or teaching laboratory is advantageous.
