  • Ensure the power and electrical services system meets regulatory requirements for safe, reliable, and available services.
  • Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and legislative requirements.
  • Plan and implement a cost-effective maintenance program.
  • Achieve operational goals for power supply availability and reliability.
  • Develop work instructions based on approved procedures, regulations, industry best practices, and standards.
  • Investigate complex tasks, identify root causes, and manage repair works.
  • Manage non-executive staff including selection, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, training, and development.
  • Liaise with external agencies regarding power supply systems and equipment.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and oversee maintenance contracts.
  • Procure necessary tools, spares, and services for system operation.
  • Ensure safe work conditions and access for maintenance activities.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of equipment to ensure proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
  • Participate in Failure Review and Corrective Action implementation.
  • Formulate asset management plans, prepare associated budgets, and monitor asset performance.
  • Supervise project initiatives and modification tasks.
  • Undertake tasks and projects assigned by the Head of Department.

  • Possess a Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Polytechnic.
  • Preferably at least 5 years of practical experience in power distribution and electrical services, preferably in a rail transportation environment.
