Senior Quantum Computing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Quantum Computing Specialist.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing Horizon's products, solving scientific and technical problems in support of Horizon's product development, mentoring junior scientists, and maintaining proper documentation of work. The role will also involve working with other employees and external partners to develop and protect novel intellectual property relating to quantum hardware and software innovations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Quantum Computing, Experimental Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in compiler development or programming languages design
  • Programming experience with Python, and preferably also with Matlab, C, or C++
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
