Job Title: Workplace Safety Manager

 

Job Description:
  • Serve as a key advisor to the CEO on matters related to workplace health and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and policies affecting workplace safety and health.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans and programs to ensure continuous improvement in workplace safety and health performance.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify and assess potential risks across various business activities using robust risk assessment and management systems.
  • Investigate incidents, provide corrective and preventive actions, and assist in generating reports.
  • Establish and drive audit and inspection systems across all levels of the organization to promote a culture of health and safety awareness.
  • Plan and deliver relevant safety training and guidance to foster a safe work environment.
  • Act as the primary contact for MOM/NEA to ensure adherence to safety and environmental guidelines aiming for a zero-accident rate.
  • Lead the safety committee and chair safety meetings to address health and safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation on all WSH-related matters.
  • Work closely with departments on WSH-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and business partners, considering tone and choice of words.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold a recognized diploma or bachelor's degree in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
  • Experience working with MOH or other relevant stakeholders in the healthcare industry is an advantage.
  • Working with elderly communities would be beneficial.
  • Hands-on individual who enjoys community settings.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with IT applications.
