Injection Moulding Operations Manager Job

A senior leadership role in moulding production ensuring efficient operation of injection moulding machines and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily injection moulding operations to meet production schedules for automotive components.
  • Oversee manpower allocation and machine operations across multiple moulding lines.
  • Ensure adherence to productivity targets, cycle times, and output efficiency.
  • Enforce strict quality control to ensure all parts produced meet automotive standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance on in-process checks and non-conformance issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations or customer complaints.
  • Oversee mould changeovers, machine start-up, shutdown, and parameter settings.
  • Optimize machine settings to improve product consistency and reduce scrap.
  • Troubleshoot process or equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Supervise and coach a team of moulding technicians, operators, and material handlers.
  • Conduct training on safe machine operation, work instructions, and best practices.
  • Evaluate team performance, manage shift handovers, and maintain discipline.
  • Ensure daily machine maintenance checks are performed.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Enforce safety regulations and personal protective equipment usage at all times.
  • Promote a clean and organized work environment.
  • Report and investigate workplace incidents or near-misses.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of injection moulding experience, preferably in automotive or precision plastic components.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and other automotive quality tools.
  • Proficiency in setting up machines such as Arburg, Sumitomo, Fanuc, or similar.
