Our mission is to create an affordable, fun, and relaxed space where everyone feels at home. We're looking for a skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
Job DescriptionAs a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our chefs with daily prep work, including washing, cutting, marinating, and portioning ingredients. You will also support in plating and garnishing dishes to ensure presentation standards, learn and follow food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness practices, and help with inventory checks, storage, and kitchen organization.
You will work closely with the team during service to keep operations smooth, bring energy, curiosity, and a willingness to learn every day. In return, you will gain real-world kitchen experience in a lively bistro & bar setting, mentorship from our chefs on techniques, flavors, and menu development, exposure to both consistent menu execution and creative seasonal specials, and the opportunity to be part of an ambitious brand that's expanding quickly.
Requirements- Passion for food, cooking, and hospitality
- Currently studying or recently graduated from a culinary / hospitality program (preferred but not required)
- Strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh ingredients, contribute to an exciting menu that blends Mexican flair with local tastes, and develop your skills in a dynamic kitchen environment.
