Job Overview:

As a skilled Trade Finance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of trade finance transactions, ensuring seamless collaboration between suppliers, buyers, and financial institutions. Your expertise in commodity trading and financial analysis will be instrumental in driving cash flow management and optimizing export receipt.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and prepare terms for sales and purchase contracts, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage trade finance transactions, including letters of credit, freight loans, and remittances, to ensure timely payment and efficient transaction processing
  • Promote letters of credit issuance and amendments, leveraging your analytical skills to minimize risks and maximize returns
  • Oversee cash flow management, applying your knowledge of commodity trading and financial markets to inform strategic decisions
  • Liaise with suppliers, buyers, bankers, and shipping brokers to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve any arising issues

Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or business administration
  • Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • At least 2 years of experience in trade operations within the energy and/or commodities industries, with a solid understanding of market trends and regulatory requirements
