Customs Compliance and Trade Strategy Specialist

We are seeking a Customs Compliance and Trade Strategy Specialist to join our Global Trade Advisory team in Singapore. As a key member of our team, you will provide customs and trade services to multinational clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement customs compliance strategies for clients, including customs review, annual Customs Finalization Report, customs compliance aspects, and duty exemption/refund schemes.
  • Support clients in optimizing their global supply chains through Free Trade Agreements and trade facilitation arrangements.
  • Manage the risk of international trade from a customs compliance perspective, focusing on tariff classification, origin, customs valuation, and import/export controls.
  • Lead a technical team of Global Trade and Customs Services and manage daily activities.
  • Collaborate with Partners and Directors to handle client portfolios and assignments, as well as business development activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, International Business, Customs, Global Trade, Laws, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent (Postgraduate degree preferred).
  • Minimum 05 years of working experience in customs, international trade, and/or other related tax/legal areas.
  • Strong business and client relationship development skills.
  • Proven experience in working with customs authorities and competent authorities in both central and local levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with a strong command of English.
  • Demonstrated interest in international trade or international business.
