Civil Engineer Job Description

Job Title: Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team and support the engineering design and execution of onshore industrial facilities, including oil refineries, petrochemical, and chemical plants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing foundation, structural, and hydraulic design calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of foundation, structural, and hydraulic design calculations.
  • Conducting load calculations and verifying structural sizing according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the development of 3D models and detailed shop drawings.
  • Generating anchor bolt and setting bolt lists for procurement and construction teams.
  • Providing clear, concise technical data and guidance to designers and other stakeholders.
  • Reviewing, validating, and approving design drawings for compliance, constructability, and safety.
  • Collaborating with project teams across FEED and EPC phases, ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Assisting with field engineering activities, including troubleshooting and resolving site issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in civil/structural design for industrial projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Singapore Building Code and authority submission process.
  • Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, with working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Strong technical understanding with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Prior experience in EPC project environments is highly desirable.
