Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical designs, schematics, and layouts for critical systems such as HVAC, ultra-pure water (UPW), cleanroom ventilation, process piping, and gas distribution.

  • Ensure thermal management, vibration control, and contamination prevention in critical semiconductor environments.
  • Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and material selection to meet high-precision industry requirements.
  • Oversee the installation of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and other mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and process engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical infrastructure.
  • Ensure that cleanroom and contamination control protocols are maintained during installation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues during commissioning and start-up.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to project milestones.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems comply with Singapore's Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, and NEA (National Environment Agency) standards.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering for semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, or industrial facilities.
  • Strong background in HVAC, process piping, ultrapure water (UPW), and gas distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other mechanical design software.
  • Knowledge of SEMI standards, ASHRAE cleanroom guidelines, and ISO.
  • Understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and structural integrity of mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
  • Good communication, reading, and writing skills in both English and Chinese.
