Job Title: Culinary Director
Our company is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Culinary Director to oversee the entire kitchen operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes are prepared to a high standard and presented in an attractive manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and cooking of food, including the ordering of ingredients, managing inventory levels, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Work closely with other department heads to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues.
- Maintain health and safety standards, adhering to food safety guidelines, and implement procedures to minimize waste and optimize resources.
- Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in traditional Cantonese/Teochew cuisine and possess excellent culinary skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
- A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to lead by example, setting a positive tone for the kitchen team and promoting a culture of respect, dignity, and integrity.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent culinary skills, with knowledge of traditional Cantonese/Teochew cuisine and ability to create innovative dishes.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Proactive and reliable, with ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
