Petrochemical Trading Operations Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Petrochemical Trading Operations team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all post-deal activities, including shipping and logistics, trade operations, hedging, chartering, and trade execution.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for third-party technical advisors, ensuring alignment on product performance and customer requirements. Additionally, you will lead continuous improvements in commercial operations processes, systems, and internal controls, as well as inter-office coordination across regional teams.

The role includes oversight of price benchmarks, hedging decisions, and financial risk assessments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, logistics, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in physical commodity trading operations, preferably within the energy or petrochemical sectors
  • Deep operational knowledge of trade execution, hedging, chartering, and shipping
  • A strong understanding of SDS documentation, product specifications, and compliance standards
  • Proven experience in managing operational risk, trade finance, counterparty exposure, and price benchmarking
