Job Title: Nursing Department Support Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist nursing leaders and team members in their daily tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Prepare and process new admissions, maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Collate and compile Clinical Quality Indicators to inform quality improvement initiatives, driving positive change within the organization.
  • Write minutes for nursing meetings and maintain accurate records of discussions and decisions made.
  • Evaluate and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Coordinate outpatient appointments for nursing home residents, prioritizing timely scheduling to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate training records for staff, including updates on skills and certifications, fostering ongoing professional development.
  • Verify vaccination status for both residents and staff, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Update and maintain the residents database for Advance Care Planning (ACP)/Preferred Priorities for Care (PPC), guaranteeing data accuracy and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, building strong relationships.
  • Understand the needs of residents and provide personalized support to enhance their experience, tailoring care to individual requirements.
  • Possess a good understanding of relevant legislation and policies governing the care of residents, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, to efficiently manage administrative tasks and maximize productivity.
