We are seeking an experienced Operational Assurance Specialist to join our team at Careers@Gov. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our operations and services through assurance checks and audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and track the progress of Operational (Ops) Audits of our processes conducted by outsourced auditors, to ensure timely completion of audits as per work plan and/or as requested by management.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and liaise with auditors and division's / department's (auditee's) appointed point-of-contact on all ops audit-related matters to ensure progress of audit work.
  • Review audit reports and presentations submitted by auditors.
  • Monitor the completion of action plans to ensure adequacy and timeliness of follow-up by the auditees.
  • Conduct follow-up checks after the completion of each ops audit by validating department's action plans and ensure that corrective actions were taken to rectify findings within a specified timeframe.
  • Review auditor's work papers and facilitate the certification and processing of invoices to ensure timely payment upon audit completion.
  • Assist in managing and tracking ops audit budget.
  • Assist in the development of operational audit plan, including making recommendations on the processes to be audited based on associated criteria.
  • Update and maintain ops audit databases and records.
  • Review ops audit work processes for work efficiency and timely delivery.
Requirements
  • Good analytical, reasoning and creative thinking skills.
  • Meticulous and have a keen eye for details.
  • Strong report writing, communication and interpersonal/facilitation skills.
  • Strong preference for use of technology to improve work processes.
  • Organised, able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Able to understand internal control concepts, corporate governance and risk management issues.
  • Prior experience in internal audit and/or knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods involved in conducting audits and/or business process review would be advantageous.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
