Accounting Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality accounting services to our clients.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRSs) for our external clients.
  • Bookkeeping and Taxation Services: Provide regular bookkeeping and taxation services, including quarterly GST and payroll services, for our clients.
  • Cashflow Monitoring: Streamline clients' cashflow monitoring processes to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
  • Internal Process Consultancy: Offer internal process consultancy and backoffice software consultancy services to our clients.
  • Junior Consultant Review: Review junior consultants' work for accuracy and reasonableness to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Software Training and IT Consultancy: Conduct MYOB and other backoffice software trainings and IT consultancy services for our clients.
  • Statutory Deadlines Management: Manage statutory deadlines internally and for our clients to ensure compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Accountancy Qualifications: Hold a Diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance, or professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA.
  • Relevant Experience: Possess at least 1 year of relevant experience in an accounting firm.
  • Account Management: Proven exposure to managing full sets of accounts or equivalent experience in a related industry.
  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, MYOB, or Xero.
  • Office Software Skills: Possess a working knowledge of MS Office & MS Excel.
