We are seeking an experienced and skilled Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing engineering solutions to reliability problems affecting signalling, communication & control systems and their associated equipment.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be required to independently conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, and develop engineering solutions to the problems identified.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Working effectively with Ops and Maintenance staff from the Lines as well as other engineering departments to investigate defects.
  • Drafting technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Identifying and implementing cost-effective technologies to enhance SMRT Signaling, Communication & Control System performance.
  • Supporting LTA and SMRT projects in reviewing project design specifications and ensure their adequacy for the safety, reliability, maintainability and operability.
  • Undertaking any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works, as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Previous railway system experience would be advantageous.
  • Adept with diagnostic and reliability engineering methodologies, such as Weibull Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and best practices in Maintenance Science.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and interpersonal skills, comfortable to work hands-on in a maintenance workshops environment alongside other Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
