Job Summary

CAD-IT CONSULTANTS (ASIA) PTE LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Security Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure and security measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, implement, and manage robust and scalable network architectures to ensure high-performance and reliability.
    • Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment to ensure seamless connectivity.
    • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
  • Security Implementation:
    • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure the protection of our organization's information and systems.
    • Install, configure, and maintain security hardware and software, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs to safeguard against unauthorized access.
    • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Incident Response and Resolution:
    • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely detection and resolution to minimize business disruption.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and mitigate security breaches or incidents.
    • Implement and manage security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Network Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities for network optimization and improvement to enhance performance and reliability.
    • Implement strategies to enhance network performance and reliability, and work closely with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive network and security documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
    • Generate regular reports on network and security metrics, trends, and incidents to inform business decisions.
  • Collaboration and Training:
    • Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to ensure a cohesive and secure IT environment.
    • Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and policies to ensure a culture of security awareness.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and security threats to ensure our organization remains secure and compliant.
    • Continuously update skills and certifications to maintain expertise and stay ahead of emerging threats.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • 1 to 2 years of proven experience as a Network and Security Engineer or similar role.
    • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
    • Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are highly desirable.
    • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, security architecture, and best practices.
    • Hands-on experience with firewall administration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN technologies.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills and an approachable character.
