Job Title: Mechanical Engineer.

Description:
In this position, you will work as a Mechanical Engineer on various projects, providing technical support and contributing to the design team's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake Mechanical engineering design work in accordance with Safety and Sustainability principles.
  • Be innovative in design work while minimizing costs and maintaining technical integrity.
  • Ensure all work is completed within the estimated man hour budget and schedule.
  • Provide technical assistance to other design groups and ensure adequate flow of design information.
  • Observe ethics and confidentiality and identify corrective actions for non-conformities.

Specific Accountabilities:
  • Define Mechanical – Static engineering work in the Project, design approach or criteria by skill and experience.
  • Understand International Codes, Standards and Local Regulations applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary.
  • Produce Equipment List for all Mechanical Equipment and packages on topsides.
  • Provide inputs to weight control report for weights of equipment and packages including final as-weighed weights from vendors.
  • Prepare specifications and data sheets for Mechanical Packages.
  • Act as the overall package Engineer for Mechanical packages mentioned above.
  • Develop FAT and SAT procedures for Mechanical packages.
  • Responsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in mechanical packages for Offshore Oil & Gas projects for FEED and Detailed engineering of FPSO topsides module.
  • A good working knowledge of the codes and standards relating to the oil and gas industry particularly the API recommended practices and ASME pressure vessel codes.
