Barista Job Description

As a skilled Barista, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service. This involves determining customer coffee preferences, presenting and explaining the coffee menu, and following drink recipes and preparation techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine customer coffee desires; present and explain the coffee drink menu.
  • Follow drink recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks.
  • Replenish coffee bean supply.

You will also be responsible for selling and serving baked goods and miscellaneous food items to customers in a courteous and friendly manner. This includes educating customers on whole bean knowledge, coffee blends, tea products, bakery items, coffee brewing, and blended products.

Requirements:
  • Possess at least 1 year experience in a similar capacity.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Able to convey meaning and obtain understanding.

Organizational skills are essential, as you will need to prioritize and schedule tasks efficiently to maintain an even workflow. Additionally, you should possess people skills to effectively relate to customers and others at all organizational levels.
