Exciting Underwriting Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Underwriter to join our dynamic Upstream Energy team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your underwriting expertise in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating risks associated with upstream energy projects. You will work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs while maintaining profitability.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong technical underwriting skills, a thorough understanding of upstream energy risks, and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. You should also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of upstream energy risks, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and standards.
  • Assess and analyze risk exposures, pricing, and terms and conditions to ensure profitable underwriting decisions.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with brokers, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and structure insurance policies to meet client needs while maintaining profitability.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience underwriting upstream energy risks within the commercial insurance sector.
  • Strong technical underwriting skills and a thorough understanding of upstream energy risks and exposures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
