Structural Project Lead

The ideal candidate will oversee the fabrication and installation of structural components on a construction project.

  • Liaise with supervisors to understand and follow up on project schedules
  • Expedite site fabrication and installation works with allocated teams to achieve targeted progress
  • Update and report project progress reports and plans for one week ahead of activities to be completed
  • Perform red line mark up drawings progressively and update engineering records
  • Work closely with supervisors for drawing and site discrepancies, equipment clash checks for troubleshooting of fabrication matters and site coordination
  • Maintain and keep remnant material records for final reconciliation of materials
  • Coordinate scaffolding erection and de-staging plans and activities with all trades
  • Follow-up of all fabrication and installation job fit-up, welding, and inspection
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and scope of works
  • Understand contractors' scope of work and manage subcontractor performance in line with provided schedule
  • Capture and prepare timesheets for submission for any drawing changes, modifications, and scope variations – subcon SI, JCS/JCF, etc.
  • Provide necessary information to prepare MOS and JSA arrangements and follow up to get lifting plan arrangement drawings
  • Issue materials to subcontractors based on work front for one week and account for offcut materials traceability and records
  • Prepare nesting requests upon receiving drawings not less than three days and maintain records
  • Maintain files of shop drawings in running drawing numbers
  • Maintain weekly constructed weight and MTO, and check against sub-con claims
  • Progress claims to be verified and signed within three working days
  • Ensure toolbox meetings are completed accordingly -Handover ongoing works in written to night shift supervisor.
  • Maintain in-site coordination of housekeeping activities and safety activities for allocated locations/jobs/modules with various disciplines

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in managing a workforce of sub-contractors/workers and directing them in structure fabrication and installation
  • Able to lead/chair daily discussions with sub-contractor supervisors for daily progress updates
