Science Support Associate Job Description

This part-time role involves maintaining science rooms, inspecting learning resources, labelling and storing resources, managing stock records, monitoring stock levels, and providing logistical support to teachers.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and daily upkeep of science facilities.
  • Inspect educational materials for quality and damage.
  • Label, categorize and store resources by type and level for easier access.
  • Manage stock records and conduct physical inventory counts.
  • Monitor stock levels and spoilage twice annually.
  • Assist teachers by preparing requested items daily and for practical assessments and major events.
  • Support science teachers and department heads with assigned tasks and related matters.
Key Requirements:
  • Able to work independently and confidently.
  • Preferably completed secondary education.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Preferred 2 years of work experience in a primary school science laboratory setting.
  • A team player who is organized, meticulous and able to multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office software.
