Job Description

As a Golang backend developer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining backend architectures. This includes developing web services that integrate with internal and external applications, defining data models and persistence mechanisms, building API interfaces from a user's perspective, and utilizing best practices of software development such as agile development, code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing.

  • 5+ years of experience developing backend systems and web service APIs in a commercial setting.
  • Solid understanding of the full backend technology stack (e.g., RESTful APIs services, client-side frameworks, data persistence technologies).
  • Excellent development skills in complex Go applications.
  • Experience deploying to high-reliability production environments.
  • Experience using Docker and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with relational database fundamentals and structure in a technology such as Postgres.
  • Disciplined approach to writing unit tests and ensuring code quality.
  • Confirmed ability to work as part of a small, focused team to complete critical achievements with tight deadlines.
  • Articulate communicator with both written and spoken word.
  • Comfortable working with a geographically dispersed team.
