Job Overview:
This role involves providing administrative support to the billing team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of patient billing activities.
- Work closely with business office staff and other departments to ensure all data elements are captured accurately and on a timely basis.
- Verify all bills for reasonableness and correct errors discovered on patient accounts.
- Monitor unbilled accounts, update records and databases.
- Correspond and liaise with patients, third-party payers, and external organizations.
- Assist in training new team members and maintain internal control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
- Diploma in any discipline or equivalent experience.
