The successful candidate will be responsible for daily review and oversight of profit and loss reports for management and other internal stakeholders. This includes validating and substantiating profit and loss to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as facing off with stakeholders for investigation and resolution of valuation and profit and loss issues.
Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for validating the valuation sources and models used for pricing, performing intra-month and monthly valuation reconciliations between manager, fund administrator, and external counterparties, and assisting with the design, build, and automation of valuation, profit and loss, and fair value adjustment processes.
Role RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in a valuations or product control role at a hedge fund or investment bank, with strong financial product fundamentals across FICC, equity, and commodity asset classes. Strong knowledge in FX and rates products is essential, and proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, and/or Python is highly desirable.
