Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Steel Detailer to join our team. As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Director in planning and controlling all project-based assignments.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Assisting in project activities such as drawing submission, take-off quality, and design coordination;
  • Preparing 3D structural models, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings;
  • Liaising with Project Managers and Engineers for technical drawings and submission approval;
  • Attending meetings with clients, suppliers, sub-contractors, and consultants;
  • Maintaining good document control and filing;
  • Able to undertake any other duties assigned by the Project Director;

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be required to liaise with internal parties within the company to implement projects and assist in planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure proper engineering deliverables and compliance to engineering standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Shop drawing preparation experience using Tekla Structures;
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the field of structural steel (an added advantage);
  • Independent and team player able to work with project teams and peers;
  • Good analytical, communication, organizing, and interpersonal skills;
