Structural Engineer

As a structural engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and implementation of construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement plans for building structures, ensuring that they are safe, functional, and meet the required specifications.

Job Description:

The job holder will work closely with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing detailed designs for building structures, including sketches, models, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborating with project teams to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigating them.
  • Carrying out site visits to monitor progress, inspect structures, and address any issues that arise.
  • Preparing and submitting reports on project status, including updates on timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
