Job Title: Vessel Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Vessel Manager to join our team at NOVO RECRUITMENT SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the economical upkeep of LNG ships and their machinery to ensure safe and error-free operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planned maintenance system for engines and vessel deck.
  • Plan and execute vessel statutory and classification surveys.
  • Organize the delivery of consumables, inventories, supplies, and spares.
  • Coordinate changes, repairs, and defect correction.
  • Ensure compliance with charterer requirements and corporate standards.
  • Support cost monitoring and control efforts.
  • Maintain technical documentation, drawings, and catalogues.
  • Participate in technical meetings and investigations.
  • Complete annual technical inspections and audits.
  • Assist in overseeing technical department operations.
  • Implement technical changes and obtain necessary certifications.
  • Respond to technical issues and communicate with creators.
  • Schedule and oversee technical repairs, including docking.
  • Ensure defect correction and vessel performance tracking.
  • Control operating costs and vessel budgets.
  • Arrange and oversee major repairs and dry dockings.
  • Visit vessels to ensure compliance with company standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a marine engineer with LNG carrier operation experience.
  • Valid Engine COC and proficiency in ISM, EMS, PMS, repairs, and dry-docking.
  • Thorough technical understanding of marine machinery.
  • Ability to think analytically, solve problems, and manage time.
  • Capacity to effectively address management and exhibit interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with power and propulsion systems, XDF vessels, and steam turbine plants.
