Job Role Overview

The role of Automotive Repair Technician involves diagnosing and rectifying automotive issues, performing routine vehicle checks, maintenance, and inspections.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve automotive problems.
  • Conduct routine vehicle tune-ups, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Replace or repair malfunctioning parts and rectify issues (e.g. leaks).
  • Maintain equipment availability by inspecting and testing vehicles.
  • Perform preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation, and replacement, wheel balancing, and filter replacement.
  • Ensure a safe and organized working environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to diagnose vehicle problems and plan repairs.
  • Accurately record each repair performed on vehicles.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Automotive Repair.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
  • Prior experience with continental cars (Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, etc.) is preferred.
