Lead IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the delivery of cutting-edge IT infrastructure solutions in the APAC region. As a seasoned expert, you will have a strong background in IT infrastructure components, including networking, server/client hardware, operating systems, and middleware.

This role involves advising on IT solution architectures based on contract and customer requirements, ensuring alignment with cyber security guidelines and best practices. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders will be crucial in driving successful project outcomes.

  • Owning the IT scope, including planning, budgeting, technical risk, and quality management.
  • Leveraging your technical expertise to lead discussions with clients and internal stakeholders on architecture and implementation details related to IT infrastructure.
  • Translating cyber security guidelines into practical implementations that meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrating a systematic approach to troubleshooting IT-related issues, using top-down or bottom-up methodologies as required.
  • Providing expert advice on cause-effect relationships to minimize downtime for operations.

This is an opportunity to contribute to delivering innovative solutions in the APAC region. You will report to the Group Integration Manager APAC and have opportunities to grow into specialized or manager roles within the service or project execution department.

The Asia Pacific project integration department works collaboratively across cultures and countries to design, test, and integrate complex airport and parcel systems for customers in the Asia Pacific region.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science.
  • Broad affinity with IT infrastructure, preferably in industrial automation and interested in logistics processes.
  • 2-5 years of relevant working experience in industrial automation/logistics processes (training provided for domain knowledge).
  • Hands-on experience with HP server hardware, storage, and operating systems such as VMware virtualization, Suse/Ubuntu Linux, and MS Windows.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco network hardware and configuration for firewalls, switches, and routing.
  • Hands-on experience with IT monitoring products and application middleware such as Oracle databases and Weblogic application servers.
  • Experience with designing and implementing IT cybersecurity guidelines and related software such as Trend Micro/McAfee, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and system hardening.
  • Familiarity with ITIL methodologies, Lean, and Six Sigma is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of testing methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • An assertive team player with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
