Job Title: Operational Steel Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Machinery Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production unit, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of steel wire drawing equipment.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. If you have experience in operating and maintaining machinery, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist technicians with setting up and troubleshooting machines.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
  • Support the operation of steel wire drawing and fibre forming machines.
Material Handling:
  • Assist in handling raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products.
  • Support inventory management and coordination with the warehouse team.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
Packaging and Final Product:
  • Assist in packaging steel fibres according to company guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate labelling and documentation.
  • Collaborate with packaging and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
Quality Assurance:
  • Assist in conducting inspections and testing.
  • Support the QAQC engineer in maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Housekeeping and Safety:
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the production area.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Report any safety incidents.
Training and Development:
  • Attend training sessions to learn machine operation and maintenance skills.
  • Participate in the MSOC (Manufacturing Safety Orientation Course) test.
  • Improve English proficiency to enhance communication and understanding of safety protocols.
Education and Experience:
  • Secondary school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in manufacturing.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of machinery operation.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Proficiency in English; technical certifications are an added advantage.
Certifications:
  • Relevant certification/license related to machinery operation and safety are an added advantage.
