Roles & Responsibilities

About Our Work:

As a seasoned tool development specialist, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between current business operations and future system landscapes.

  • Analyze existing systems, identifying areas for improvement and devising strategies to bridge the 'as-is' and 'to-be' of business processes.
  • Design and develop innovative tools (e.g. Excel, Access, VB.NET) to address identified gaps and facilitate a seamless transition to new platforms.
  • Migrate data from legacy systems to new platforms using MS Access, Excel, VB.NET, and other relevant tools.
  • Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes utilizing MS Access, Excel, VB.NET, and other automation tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data migration, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout all migration phases.
  • Review, enhance, and develop new End-User Computing (EUC) and/or RPA tools to streamline business processes, boost operational efficiency, and ensure compatibility with new system functionalities.
  • Collaborate closely with functional teams and IT departments to define requirements for tool development and guarantee tools meet operational needs.
  • Develop and manage reports to track progress of tool development, migration efforts, and operational improvements.
  • Communicate issues related to tool performance, development status, and any operational challenges to relevant stakeholders and teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of tool functionalities, migration processes, and any changes to systems or processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Information Systems is essential.
  • At least 3 years of experience in tool development, systems migration, or business process automation in a banking or financial services environment is necessary.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining migration tools using Excel, Access, and VB.NET is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle databases, Access databases, and working with .CSV files for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) is essential.
  • Experience with EUC (End-User Computing), RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and related tools in a banking context is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, business processes, and system integration needs is vital.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage tool development projects is essential.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to data migration and system integration, are necessary.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, are required.
