Wintel Systems Administrator

This is an exciting opportunity to join our IT infrastructure team as a highly skilled and experienced Wintel Systems Administrator. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for operational support and project-based initiatives, with a strong emphasis on system integrity, performance, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience managing Windows Server environments, with expertise in troubleshooting, clustering, and Hyper-V. You will also have strong knowledge of installation and configuration best practices, as well as experience with ESXi, vCenter, and virtual machine technology.

Key responsibilities will include monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows Server environments, ensuring compliance, integrity, and high performance across infrastructure systems. You will also administer and configure Windows Servers and Microsoft Cluster Services, manage VMware vSphere environments, and provide hands-on support for HPE server hardware and NetApp storage systems.

Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience managing Windows Server environments (latest two versions)
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, clustering, and Hyper-V
  • Strong knowledge of installation and configuration best practices
  • 5-7 years of experience with ESXi, vCenter, and virtual machine technology
  • Proficient in PowerCLI and command-line troubleshooting
  • Deep understanding of storage protocols related to VMware
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with server hardware (preferably HPE)
  • Skilled in remote server management, firmware updates, and field-replaceable unit (FRU) guidance
  • 5 years of experience managing NetApp storage systems
  • Strong knowledge of WAFL, NFS, iSCSI, SMB/CIFS
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT security concepts
  • 1-2 years of experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, and databases
  • Practical experience using Azure CLI, PowerShell, and the Azure Portal
  • Basic understanding of Azure NSGs, RBAC, and API keys
