As a Fleet Manager at EXECUTIVE OFFSHORE PTE. LTD., you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of company policies related to Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality Assurance (HSEQA) issues in relation to the operation of the fleet vessels. You will advise the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) in writing on any information related to the vessel or crew's inability to comply with the Company's environmental measures and other marine environmental protection requirements.

  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of Superintendents in the assigned fleet, ensuring that approved budgets are maintained and day-to-day expenses are closely monitored.
  2. Maintain contact with Classification societies, shipyards, repair firms, industry groups, trade associations, equipment manufacturers, and designers to ensure the efficient and cost-effective maintenance of vessels.
  3. Monitor the performance of vessels, compliance with safety and pollution prevention regulations, certification status, and ensure that vessels are maintained in seaworthy condition and trading certificates are valid.
  4. Plan and coordinate dry-docking and major repairs, ensuring that the most efficient and cost-effective solutions are implemented.
  5. Monitor major deficiencies/defects in vessels and ensure timely corrective actions are taken to maintain vessel performance and safety.
  6. Project operating cost expenses pertaining to technical items and verify all incoming reports from vessels, identifying areas requiring immediate attention.
  7. Closely monitor vessel performance and ensure that all Charter Party requirements are fulfilled, identifying reasons for deviation and ensuring remedial measures are taken.
  8. Ensure the handling of insurance matters for fleet ships is conducted in accordance with Office Procedures Manual Section 8, and prepare necessary documentation for Hull and Machinery and P&I insurance claims.
  9. Carry out periodical inspections of vessels, prepare detailed reports, formulate up-gradation plans, and follow up progress with Superintendents and vessels.
  10. Instruct and assist Superintendents to prepare repair specifications and coordinate with repair firms for effecting major repairs during voyages without incurring delay.
  11. Act as a link between the vessel and the office for matters related to accident handling, equipment breakdown, and safety and pollution prevention aspects.
  12. Monitor the assigned fleet to ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
  13. Review the performance and adequacy of shipboard equipment used for processing waste streams and propose modifications, upgrades, or replacements as necessary.
  14. Ensure that observations and recommendations resulting from audits on the group of vessels are appropriately and timely resolved to the satisfaction of the DPA.
  15. Act as a back-up for immediate superiors and other members in the Technical and Operations Department during their absence, as and when required.

Job Requirements

  1. Degree in Engineering with Class 1 COC
  2. At least 3 years of sailing experience on Offshore Vessels (AHTS/PSV's) in the rank of Chief Engineer
  3. Minimum 7 years of shore experience in Ship Management as Fleet Manager or equivalent role for Offshore Vessels (AHTS or PSV Vessels)
