About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cortex Domain Consultant to join our team at Palo Alto Networks. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you will play a critical role in helping our customers protect their digital transactions and resolve complex cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive complex deals in the pre-sale stage, working closely with sales engineers and sales reps to provide technical expertise and support.
  • Present to customers as our expert at all levels in the customer hierarchy, from technician to manager, to provide technical guidance and solutions.
  • Support the technical field sales engineer on POCs (proof of concept) by answering technical questions, conducting POC evaluations, and working with engineering to bridge any gaps.
  • Work closely with product and engineering to debug and correct challenges encountered during POCs.
  • Train field sales engineers on new features, product roadmap, and sprint summaries.
  • Create new demo scenarios and use cases to showcase the value of our products.
  • Discuss complex platform architectures with prospects and respond effectively to RFIs/RFPs as the main technical point of contact.
Requirements
  • Deep experience with security incident response, including IR tools and IR workflow processes or SOC operational processes.
  • Strong technical hands-on experience (5+ years) with SIEM/EDR/SOAR.
  • Strong practical experience with threat hunting, malware, exploits, and the ability to demonstrate simulation of cyber attacks.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and integrating complex security environments.
  • Experience with Security Analytics or Threat Intel is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems and scripting skills in Python/JavaScript/PowerShell are an advantage.
  • Strong problem-finding and solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution.
  • 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong English language skills, both oral and written, with the ability to confidently present with impact to an audience in person and remotely.
  • A team player with the ability to share knowledge openly, interact with integrity, and embrace diversity.
  • A self-starter, self-motivated, and quick learner with the ability to adapt to change and stay at the leading edge of the Cortex portfolio.
