Job Overview

Cognizant seeks a skilled software engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with fellow developers, technical leads, product owners, and delivery managers to iteratively deliver IT solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

You will have the opportunity to be exposed to different aspects of software delivery, including solution design, CI/CD pipeline configurations, frontend and backend development, and test automation.

Requirements:

We are looking for individuals with relevant years of experience in frontend and/or backend software engineering, with a demonstrated ability in designing and building well-structured enterprise applications on commercial cloud platforms.

Key Skills:

  • Proficient in modern web application technology stacks, such as React.js, Python, Fast API, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in development and deployment on commercial clouds, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Familiarity with loosely coupled architecture and application integration patterns, such as Microservices and Scatter-Gather.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and AWS ECS.
  • Understanding of infrastructure provision tools, such as Terraform.
  • Embracing DevSecOps and CI/CD principles, with experience in relevant CI technologies, such as Git and GitLab.
  • Awareness of Secure-By-Design Lifecycle for Agile and utilization of technologies for SAST and DAST.
  • Practiced Test-Driven Development with automated testing.
  • Exposure to performance optimization and tuning of applications and databases.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to articulate software problems and proposed solutions clearly.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with a team-first mentality.
