Job Overview

A highly skilled controls engineer is needed to lead the design of data centers across the rapidly expanding Asia Pacific portfolio. The ideal candidate will share a customer-focused mindset by providing innovative solutions to enhance reliability.

The successful candidate will work on complex designs that support a wide range of businesses and customers, with ideas encouraged and supported to sustain quality, speed, and efficiency improvements. They will lead an international team of controls engineers and collaborate with internal and external groups including utilities, manufacturers, vendors, consultants, and contractors.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and develop building operations strategies, mechanical plant designs, EPMS/BMS programming concepts, control diagrams, industrial HVAC systems, electrical line-ups, one-line diagrams, and complex environmental and electrical concepts.
  • Data center redundancy, mechanical failure strategies, energy and water conservation best practices, and data reporting analytics.
  • Operate effectively in high-security critical environments while maximizing productivity.
  • Innovate new solutions to support initiatives, team goals, and business objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of direct experience in data center or mission-critical facility design.
  • 8+ years as design lead on projects with multiple teams or vendors to meet project requirements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of APAC code requirements and critical electrical and HVAC equipment, power monitoring and transfer schemes.
  • Experience with design, configuration, or servicing of one or more of the following products: Siemens Apogee, Honeywell Building Controls, Trend Building Controls, Schneider Electric PowerLogic/Struxureware, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk, Tridium Niagara, Eaton Foreseer, ABB Decathalon, Johnson Controls Metasys.
