Occupational Therapy Role

The Senior Occupational Therapist supervises a team of therapists, and you will be working closely with them to deliver excellent patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to define treatment objectives for each client and implement tailored programs to achieve their goals. This includes residents in the Home, Respite cases, and Day Care Clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy programs that meet individual clients' needs.
  • Attend case conferences and meetings to discuss Individual Care Plans (ICPs) and contribute to informed decision-making.
  • Compile and submit regular reports and statistics to the Director (Client Services).
  • Document clients' progress, reassessing and refining interventions as necessary.
  • Support the development and performance of Therapy Aides, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve occupational therapy activities to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in assessing potential clients and developing comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and coordinate equipment maintenance, assistive device procurement, and wheelchair management.
  • Work with the Volunteer Programme Management team to orient, train, and coordinate volunteers for occupational therapy areas and social activities.
  • Collaborate with Social Services on craft-making, outings, and recreational activities for Day Care clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Possess a recognized degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Be fully registered with the Allied Health Professions Council.
