The role of Solar Electrician plays a vital part in the execution of solar-powered electrical projects.

Job Summary

To excel as a Solar Electrician, one must be proficient in assembling, installing, operating and testing electrical wiring and installations. Troubleshooting, repairing and resolving technical issues related to electrical works is also a crucial aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Electrical Installation and Testing: The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and installing electrical wiring and installations to ensure efficient operation of solar-powered systems.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repair: In the event of technical malfunctions or issues with electrical installations, the Solar Electrician will be expected to troubleshoot and repair the problems in a timely manner.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience in the field, preferably with at least 5 years of experience or 1 year of experience specifically in solar PV installation and maintenance.

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical work or 1 year of experience in solar PV installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough understanding of construction plans, schematics, and SLDS (Solar Layout Design Software); ability to quickly read and comprehend these documents; working knowledge of common construction materials and methods.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients at all levels of the organization; strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
