Solar Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Solar Engineer to join our team and lead the design, installation, and project management of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems.

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting site assessments, preparing PV layouts, Single Line diagrams, permitting, and construction management. They will also oversee the implementation and commissioning of solar PV systems, supervise workers and contractors, and attend meetings with clients and stakeholders.

  • Design and implement solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and achieving cost-effective solutions.
  • Assess sites, conduct detailed drawings, and estimate solar project capacity and costs.
  • Evaluate and recommend solar software simulations, electrical cable sizing, and SLD designs.
  • Ensure quality control over all projects, liaising with procurement and inventory control teams to ensure timely supply of materials.
  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance of existing solar PV systems.
  • Participate in sales presentations and meetings with clients as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in solar PV design and engineering for rooftop, ground-mounted, or floating PV systems.
  • Experience in designing and applying Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with PV generation is an advantage.
  • Proficient in computer-aided design software (e.g., AutoCAD), Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, motivation, and ability to work independently and manage clients and stakeholders effectively.
