Global Operations Manager Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Global Operations Manager to oversee the import and export of container business globally. This is a crucial role that involves managing all aspects of ISO Tank operations, including documentation and liaison with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage global imports and exports related to container business
  • Responsible for all ISO Tank operations matters and documentations
  • Liaise with agents, haulers, forwarders, customers, and handle invoice payment matters
  • Control costs through continuous improvement initiatives to identify and eliminate waste
  • Provide leadership in a team environment to achieve organisational goals
  • Analyse data and make recommendations to senior management regarding changes to improve efficiency or reduce costs
  • Create organisational structures and procedures to support new business initiatives or company growth
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activities to identify opportunities for new products or services
  • Develop strategic plans for an organisation's overall operating goals and objectives
  • Direct the work of subordinate managers and staff members to ensure that objectives are met
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in business, operations management, or related field
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
  • Minimum 1-year experience in an operations management role
  • Proven track record of successful process improvement and change management initiatives
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training, education, and experience
  • Experience leading a team of operations managers
  • Experience in a global organisation
  • Working knowledge of in-house systems
  • Project management certification
