Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Equipment Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in container logistics control, including supply and demand planning, container steering programs, repositioning management, vendor management, and more.


As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective execution of these critical processes, ensuring seamless container movement and status data integrity within our Equipment Management System (EMS).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Container Control Aspect: Develop and implement strategies to optimize container utilization and minimize idle time.
  • Container Fleet Management: Oversee the planning and execution of on- and off-hire operations, as well as container procurement and sale activities.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate tracking and management of containers, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Detention & Demurrage (D&D): Liaise with local offices to collect detention and demurrage charges, reconcile amounts, and handle disputes/waivers.
  • Equipment Management System (EMS): Maintain and execute container disposal through EMS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:


  • A graduate or master's level education, preferably in a relevant field.
  • Strong planning and execution capabilities, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in container control within an international container shipping company, with a minimum of 5 years managerial experience.
  • Good team player with strong leadership qualities and the ability to work independently.
