Internal Communications Specialist Role Summary

\

This role involves crafting, editing and distributing internal communications materials to engage and inform employees.

\

Critical responsibilities include drafting newsletters, announcements and leadership messages as well as maintaining and updating content on internal communication platforms such as intranets, digital signage and internal social media.

\

Additionally the professional will support the development of communication materials for internal campaigns, events and initiatives by coordinating with various departments.

\

Employee engagement is another key area of focus where the executive supports planning and execution of employee engagement activities including town halls, team-building events, wellness programs and recognition initiatives.

\

Collaboration with HR and other departments is essential to promote participation and gather feedback on engagement efforts.

\

Tracking engagement metrics and preparing reports to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives is also part of this role.

\Required Skills and Qualifications\
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing: This degree is required to be considered for the position.
  • Experience in Internal Communications: 1-2 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement or a related role (internships included). Those without experience are welcome to apply.
  • Writing, Editing and Interpersonal Communication Skills: Strong writing, editing and interpersonal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Microsoft Office and Digital Communication Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital communication tools (e.g., SharePoint, Yammer, Canva) is required.
