Accounts Payable Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable professional to join our team. As an AP expert, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Processing: Review and process invoices in accordance with company policies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process vendor payments via cheque, wire transfer, or other payment methods, ensuring timely payments and tracking payment schedules.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and reconciling accounts as needed.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions, ensuring all outstanding payments are cleared within agreed terms.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions and documentation, filing invoices and payment records for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
  • Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all AP transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger.
  • Expense Reporting: Ensure proper coding and approval of expenses, verifying accuracy and matching invoices to purchase orders, delivery receipts, or contracts.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal accounting controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to AP activities.
  • Reporting: Assist with reporting on outstanding payables and payment trends, providing timely reports to senior management when required.
