About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Autism Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our Autism Intervention, Training & Consultancy (AITC) team, you will work closely with individuals on the autism spectrum, their families, and our staff to maximise their potential in life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver behaviour plans in collaboration with other key stakeholders to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in achieving their goals.
  • Plan and deliver programmes for students with ASD in the area of Life Readiness skills, including self-regulation, work habits, social, and thinking skills.
  • Manage an emergency support line for school staff requiring immediate support for behavioural support, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Plan and deliver training on ASD-related topics to stakeholders, including staff, families, and community partners, to promote understanding and support.
  • Participate in team assessments for school admissions, providing expert insights to inform decision-making.

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Psychology or a related field, with a strong foundation in autism spectrum disorders and related therapies.
  • A passion for helping special needs students maximise their talents and potential, with a commitment to their growth and development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changes and different perspectives, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.
