Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

 

This is a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental sustainability of operations. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for developing and implementing effective EHS policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS training programs for employees.
  • Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to management on EHS matters.
  • Analyze and report accidents and incidents (including near misses).
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Manage and monitor the company's EHS data.
  • Function as a key member of the Site's WSH / Environmental Committee.
  • Support WSH personnel with advance planning for works.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and proactive environmental sustainability.
  • Ensure prompt implementation of EHS measures as required by law or regulation.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Workplace Safety & Health.
  • Effective leadership skills and ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Workplace Safety & Health industry.
