Job Opportunity: Early Childhood Educator

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for working with children and be committed to delivering high-quality education.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons, creating engaging learning materials, and observing and documenting children's development.

Additionally, the successful candidate will build strong relationships with families, coordinate community initiatives, and uphold values of excellence in early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development & Implementation
    • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with curriculum frameworks
    • Create engaging learning materials and classroom setups
    • Observe and document children's development to inform teaching practices
    • Apply effective classroom management strategies
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Family Engagement
    • Build strong relationships with families to support continuity of care
    • Coordinate and engage with families, volunteers, and community partners
    • Support the development of centre-wide family and community initiatives
  • Caregiving & Daily Routines
    • Conduct assessments and ensure quality of routine caregiving
    • Guide care practices according to standard operating procedures and identify areas for improvement
  • Professional Growth & Practice
    • Uphold centre values and contribute to a positive work environment
    • Stay updated with sector trends and suggest teaching improvements
    • Participate in initiatives to enhance service and teaching quality
    Requirements
    • EY2 certification with an Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) or equivalent qualification
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood care and education (ECCE)
    • Strong passion for working with children
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word
    • Good interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team
