Lab Management Specialist

This position involves supporting lab management, including maintaining analytical chemistry/materials testing lab equipment and coordinating frequent summarization of lab work and facilities. The successful candidate will also provide technical support at the Material Science Lab, operating analysis instruments and metrology equipment, and performing quality, reliability, and failure analysis on electronic product assemblies.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  1. Maintaining lab equipment to ensure it operates effectively
  2. Coordinating the summarization of lab work and facilities
  3. Digitalizing lab analysis results
  4. Providing technical support at the Material Science Lab, including operating analysis instruments and metrology equipment
  5. Performing quality, reliability, and failure analysis on electronic product assemblies
  6. Responding to customer requests and managing escalations in a timely manner
  • Qualifications required:
  1. Associates degree in engineering, science or related discipline (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials and Mechanical related degree is a plus)
  2. Experience in material/chemistry/mechanical/quality lab management is an advantage
  3. Industrial lab experience with proficiency in microscopy, digital photo manipulation, and data organization
  4. Operating experience with analysis machines (FTIR, XRF, SEM, EDS, Real time X-ray radiography, Cross section and polishing equipment, Mechanical Testing Systems or Reliability Testing Systems) is essential
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills in Mandarin, with sufficient reading skill in English
  6. Strong computer, clerical, and organizational skills, proficient with MS Office programs
  7. Able to work with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and discretion
  8. Ability to multitask, solve problems, and work effectively in a production environment
