Senior Oracle DBA Job

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Oracle DBA to join our team.

  • Job Description:
  • Lead the administration and management of Oracle databases in production and development environments, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place.
  • Perform advanced database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management to optimize system efficiency.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle technologies such as Data Guard and RMAN.
  • Automate routine database tasks using PL/SQL, Shell scripting, or Ansible to improve productivity and reduce manual errors.
  • Apply patches and perform upgrades/migrations on-premises and in the cloud while managing version control systems.
  • Implement and enforce database security, roles, and user access controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Monitor database health and proactively identify potential issues before they impact production.
  • Provide Level 3 support for escalated incidents and lead root cause analysis to resolve complex problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and DevOps, to support application and system integration.
  • Document architecture, configurations, and procedures for audit and knowledge sharing purposes.

Requirements:

  • Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Oracle database administration, management, and performance tuning.
  • Advanced understanding of Oracle technologies, including Data Guard, RMAN, and PL/SQL.
  • Strong background in high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
