Position: Loan Syndication Specialist
Department: Corporate Banking
Reporting To: Manager, Corporate Banking Department
Key Responsibilities:

Origination of Syndicated Loan Transactions:
Lead the origination process for syndicated loans, including assessing the feasibility and viability of targeted transactions, formulating term sheets, syndication timelines, and ensuring comprehensive documentation. -
Distribution and Market Penetration:
Strategically distribute syndicated loans to the market by accurately assessing distribution channels and targeting the right investors for successful sell-downs. -
Optimal Pricing Formulation:
Develop and implement effective pricing strategies for syndicated loans using sound methodologies that align with market standards and expectations. -
Market Intelligence and Collaboration:
Provide regular updates on potential syndication deals in the market and identify potential partner banks for joint collaboration opportunities. -
Relationship Building with Media and Stakeholders:
Maintain close relationships with media outlets to stay informed of current market deals and monitor any adverse information on existing or potential borrowers. -
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Relationship Managers to support deal origination and strengthen the bank’s syndication capabilities. -
Strategic Business Development:
Assist senior management in identifying viable business opportunities to enhance the bank’s returns and expand its market presence. -
Additional Duties:
Perform any additional tasks as required to support the department's goals and adhere to the bank’s internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Educational Background:
A recognized Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, or related disciplines. -
Experience:
At least 7-10 years of relevant experience in commercial banking, particularly in loan syndication, structured finance, or corporate banking. -
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required to effectively liaise with Chinese-speaking clients.

Key Competencies:
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Highly proactive, energetic, and results-oriented with strong business acumen and market awareness.
